       Welcome to Dogs at Lorcheborn

The Lorcheborn breeding facility introduces itself!

My dream began in 1996: a white German Shepherd to complete our family. The path to breeding was paved with a series of coincidences. We never would have believed, or even imagined, that we would one day raise puppies ourselves.
And then Chrissie came along!
As our first white German Shepherd, she was intended to be a purely family member.
We quickly realized that we would like to keep a second dog alongside her.

Berry is a wonderful dog!

Then we started reading up on breeding, attending seminars, talking to other breeders, and subjecting Chrissie to all the necessary examinations, including the breeding suitability test.

We were delighted to welcome Chrissie's first offspring in 1997, and as they were being raised, it became increasingly clear that this wouldn't be the only litter. From 1998 to 2002, Chrissie and Berry continued to produce beautiful puppies for us.
We place great importance on the well-being of our dogs. If this is not guaranteed, there will be no puppies.

If a mating doesn't work out, so be it. The next heat cycle will surely come.

We live with our dogs, not off them. We also place great importance on staying in touch with our offspring, even if they haven't lived with us for years. We're always delighted to hear from them now and then, whether it's a few words spoken or written, or occasionally a recent picture.

Our Chrissie sadly left us far too soon, we miss her very much.

Soon, Kaily, a wonderful Border Collie, was to enter our lives. Everything became so much easier with her; she was very intelligent and accompanied me everywhere. Friends and acquaintances then asked me to breed her, as they wanted a puppy from Kaily. So we chose a stud dog for her, and they took to each other immediately. At five years old, in 2007, she was bred and had five puppies (one female and four males). One female, Bonny, and one male, Chris (who turned 16 on April 8, 2023), stayed with our family. In 2008, we had more puppies: Ruby, Layra, and Erdnuss. Then, in 2011, Berry, by then 16 years old, wanted to try again and bred with Layra. This resulted in nine puppies (four white, three gray, and two black with yellow markings). One gray male, Loup, and one white male, Odin, also stayed with our family. Now we had a great pack.

In 2012 our Berry died, in 2018 our Kaily, in 2022 a terrible year when Peanut, Layra and Bonny passed away, then on January 19th, 2023 our Ruby and on August 25th our Odin and after 16.5 years on October 16th, 2023 our beloved Chris, on September 23rd, 2024 my brave Loup passed away, they all crossed the Rainbow Bridge. "Farewell, I whisper to you. Have a good journey on your final journey."

If love could have saved you, you would all have lived forever!

Then our pack grew again. Santo, a black German Shepherd, and a Swiss White Shepherd named Rani.

In January 2024, the two had offspring and Rijan stayed with us in the pack.

On September 7, 2024, Nitha (Loyal and Graceful), a black German Shepherd, joined our pack, and on May 27, 2025, Usko Nanuk (Belonging Polar Bear) completed our pack!

No insult would hurt me as much as a suspicious look from my dogs.
