Preparations before your puppy moves in!

Preparing for your puppy :-)

Pour cold apple juice onto the carpet and walk around barefoot in the dark.
Immediately after waking up: stand in the rain (while it's still pitch black) and repeat: “Good dog, go pee, hurry up, go on”…

Cover your best clothes with dog hair. Use light hair on dark clothes and dark hair on light clothes. Also, let some dog hair float in your morning coffee.

Play “tag” with a wet, slimy tennis ball.
Run barefoot through the snow to close the garden gate.
Turn over a laundry basket full of clean laundry and spread the items all over the floor.

Leave your underwear in the living room, because the dog will bring it there anyway (especially when you have guests).
Jump out of your chair just before your favorite TV show ends and run to the door, shouting: No! No! Do that outside. Miss the end of your show.

Spill chocolate pudding on the carpet in the morning and wait until after work to clean it up.
Take a screwdriver and carve holes in one leg of your dining table; it's going to get nibbled on anyway.

If, after all this, you are still calm and loving, and your greatest wish is still a dog, then you are ready for your puppy!
Take a warm, soft blanket from the dryer and wrap yourself up in it. This is the feeling you'll have when a puppy falls asleep in your lap, and look forward to the day when you can bring your new best friend, your new great love, your new constant companion, your new family member, the most loyal creature on earth... your puppy from us to his new "forever home"!!!
